Abstract

The objectives of this research were; 1) to study the state of student affairs administration of schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 3 in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province, 2) to study a guideline of student affairs administration of schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 3 in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province, and 3) to propose a guideline of student affairs administration of schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 3 in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province. The quantitative data were collected by questionnaires from 297 teachers and administrators in schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 3 in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province and then analyzed by frequency, mean, percentage and standard deviation. The qualitative data were collected by in-depth interviews with 5 experts and analyzed by content analysis.


 


 


            The research results showed that:


  1. The state of student affairs administration of schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 3 in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province having problems was on; Plan and Information in collecting rules, regulations and practical guidelines of current student affairs, Activity in putting assessment results into practice and improving student affairs continuously, Ethics and morality in activity supporting and developing corporate social responsibility, Student Assistance System in protection and solution of students’ problems, Democratic Promotion in School in evaluating the performance results in promoting democratic in school, and Assessment of Student Affairs Performance in assessment of group work level in school.

  2. The guidelines of student affairs administration of schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 3 in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province were that; Plan and information should be kept up-date in order to encourage teachers in seeing the significance of their profession in teaching and training students to be social good products, students should be supported in participation in school activities and the activities should be varied for the interest and skills of students, The ethics and morality work should strengthen morale, discipline and good behaviors of teachers and students, Student assistance system should have network in and outside school, Teachers should be trained with new techniques and methods in improving the democratic promotion in school, In student affairs performance, the teachers and students with distinguished performance should be awarded or praised, and the student affairs performance should be based on Iddhipada principles or the Four Paths of Accomplishment.
