The Way for Development Working by Following the Four Sanghahavatthus, Teacher of School Under Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research were; 1) to study the work condition according to the principle of Sangahavatthu of teachers under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area 1, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province,  2) to compare the work condition according to the principle of Sangahavatthu of teachers under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area 1 classified by genders and work experiences, and  3) to propose a guideline for the development of teachers' work in accordance with the principle of Sangahavatthu of teachers under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area 1. The data in this survey research were collected by questionnaires from 313 teachers in schools under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area 1, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province and analyzed by mean and standard deviation. The research results were presented in tabular forms with descriptions.


The research results showed that:


  1. The work condition according to the principle of Sangahavatthu of teachers in schools under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area 1 was at the high level overall and in aspect. The maximum level was on Giving and academic development to improve teaching and learning, and the minimum level was on Kindly Speech.

  2. The work condition according to the principle of Sangahavatthu of teachers in schools under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area 1 with different genders was different in Giving, Kindly Speech and Useful Conduct with a significant statistic figure at 0.05. The work condition of teachers with below and above 10 years work experiences was different in Giving and Kindly Speech with a significant statistic figure at 0.05.

  3. The schools should apply the guideline for the development of teachers' work in accordance with the principle of Sangahavatthu of teachers under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area 1 as follows:

1) The work development with Giving; Teachers should sacrifice or share their benevolence for the benefit of other teachers, colleagues and their students.


2) The work development with Kindly Speech; Teachers should use polite and friendly words in communication with other teachers, colleagues and students, and they should avoid using  rude, aggressive, and vulgar expressions with anyone.


3) The work development with Useful Conduct; Teachers should act in a way beneficial to others, give assistances to others in the scope of one’s own capability, and refine the mind from lust, hatred and delusion in order to sacrifice themselves to others.  


4) The work development with Even and Equal Treatment; Teachers should behave themselves consistently and treat other teachers, colleagues and students suitable to situations and their status.
