Abstract

In Buddhism, education is to develop one’s self starting from getting an ordination in Buddhism to studying Buddhist principles and putting those principles into practice based on the principles of the Threefold Training. After that, some may turn to become noble monks and some may not. Both can carry on the Buddhist burden in teaching people. As spiritual leaders, monks can give help, suggest and solve people’s and social problems with Dhamma, and teach people to integrate Buddhist principles in their daily life.
