Abstract

Effects of problem-based learning on critical thinking and learning pursuit of primary school students studying in the Social Study, Religion and Culture Department. A sample group consisted of students studying in Prathom 6 in the 1st semester at Nakhonluang (Phibulprasertwith) School in the academic year 2017. The experimental period covered 20 hours for each group. Research instruments were problem-based learning lesson plans, the lesson plans following the teacher’s manual of the Office of Basic Education Commission, critical thinking evaluation and learning pursuit evaluation . The Quasi Experimental research was conducted with the two groups before and after the experiment. Statistics employed to analyze the data was Multivariate Analysis of Variance.
