Abstract

School administrators or educational institution administrators are the most important in educational institutions to be able to inspire learning reform in schools reform successfully and completely. The executives can direct, command, lead and set a framework in school direction and management in compliance with the laws and policies of the state. Young-blood teachers in the age of learning reform wish to have modern school administrators having management style relevant to learning reform. Modern administrators have philosophy, idea, vision, strategy and working method in line with the National Education Act, such as vision in education management, learned, keep in touch with up-to-date situations, and decentralized administration or school-based management.
The administrators make a coordinative decision, such as with school board, students’ parents and community and have close-circle management skills (PDCA): plan, do, check and act. The administrators have to carry on education quality assurance in schools continuously for the external assessment from The Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment. School administrators should support and encourage teachers in learning reform thoroughly, facilitate the teachers in training and in knowledge and skills development, encourage teachers to work, arrange learning activities, and give support in research and course revision relevant to the requirement of nation, area and learners. The administrators should have variety of evaluation systems, adjust school environment suitable to learning resources and manage budget, human resources, media and teaching and learning instrument.
