Academic Management Affecting Mathematics Achievement Level in the Opinion of the School Administrators under Chiangrai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3

The purposes of this research were to study the state and problems to the academic management affecting mathematics achievement level in the opinion of the school administrators under Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Office 3. The population were 153 school administrators in the academic year of 2555 B.E. (2012). Instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis was done through statistics, namely percentage, means and standard deviation. The findings show that : 1) The overall and individual state of the academic management affecting mathematics achievement level is high 2) The problems arising in each aspect of the academic management affecting mathematics achievement level are as follows: the most serious problem in curriculum development is the lack of profound understanding while that in learning-teaching process is the teachers’ inexperience in variety of teaching techniques and management. Concerned personnel’s knowledge in the evaluation and credit transfer is limited. The lack of understanding in educational research and development, altogether with the inadequate knowledge and understanding in the development of educational innovation and technology is problematic. Furthermore other issues are insufficient budget in learning source development leading to the insufficiency of teaching materials and innovation, and discontinuous follow-ups.
