Information Exposure Behavior and Online Social Media Literacy of Senior High School Students in Muang District, Nakhonsawan Province

Abstract
The present research is quantitative research and the sample was 400 senior high school students in Muang district, Nakhon Sawan province. The results of the present research were as follows 1) Most of the samples were female (69.5%), in the fourth grade (38.8%); 2) The sample had information exposure behavior from traditional media (mean = 2.61) and online social media exposure behavior (mean = 3.91); 3) The sample had the ability of online social media literacy at a high level (mean = 4.03); and 4) The results of the hypothesis test showed that senior high school students in Muang district, Nakhon Sawan province from various grades, had different levels of exposure to traditional media, and that the online social media, frequency of online social media exposure (per week) and duration of online social media exposure (per day) were statistically significant at the level of 0.05. Senior high school students in Muang district, Nakhon Sawan province, with different marital status of their parents, had significantly different traditional media exposure behavior at the 0.05 level of statistical significance. Senior high school students in Muang district, Nakhon Sawan province, who lived in different types of accommodations had different information exposure behavior, frequency of exposure to online social media (per week) and the duration of online social media exposure (per day) at 0.05 level of statistical significance. 5) The result of the hypothesis test showed that students with different marital status of their parents had significantly different levels of online social media literacy at 0.05 level of statistical significance.
