An analytical Study of Vocabulary Used in the Kitchen

Abstract

The objectives of this article are to study and analyze the vocabulary used in the kitchen found in daily life, to collect, consider and find the meaning of the vocabulary used in the kitchen. The researcher selects the concept of classification theory in Thai language of Kamchai Thonglor to study and then select theories of classification of words in Thai, specifically in nouns, verbs and adverbs in order to set agreement for categorized vocabulary in the kitchen by diving into 3 groups: 1) nouns used in the kitchen containers, 2) verbs used in the kitchens and 3) adverbs used in the kitchens. The results found that verbs used in the kitchens were found the most in 98 words, followed by 80 words for adverbs and the least was 4 6 words for nouns. The vocabulary used in the kitchens reflects the variety of vocabulary in the kitchen, both in Thai language and culture.
