THE DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING ACTIVITIES ON GEOMETRIC CONSTRUCTION USING STEAM EDUCATION WITH DIGITAL MEDIA TO ENHANCE LEARNING RESULT THE ABILITY TO USE TECHNOLOGY AND CREATIVITY OF THE SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS

Abstract

This research aims were to : 1) develop the learning activities on geometric construction using STEAM Education with digital media to enhance learning result, the ability to use technology and creativity of the seventh-grade students at 75/75 standard, and 2) study the results after the learning activities were applied which included  2.1) the comparison between pre-test and post-test, 2.2) the ability to use technology as a learning tool, and 2.3) the creativity to create the assignments according to STEAM Education approach. The target groups were 25 people of seventh-grade                


The research instruments were 1) the lesson plan of the learning  activities  2) the pre-test and post-test  for this learning activities, 3) the assessment forms to evaluate their ability to use technology as a learning tool,and 4) the assessment forms to evaluate their creativity to create the assignments according to STEAM Education approach. To analyze the data, percentage (%), mean (gif.latex?\bar{x}), standard deviation (S.D.), dependent t-test, and content analysis with the statistical significance at .05 were adopted.


The results were as follows : 1) the development of learning activities. the efficiency criteria was 78.81/76.21 concluded that the result met the criteria. 2) The results after the learning activities conducted were as follow : 2.1) students had learned results after study higher than before was statistically significant at .05 level.  2.2) students had ability to used technology were at an excellent level and higher development were 80.88% (gif.latex?\bar{x}=16.75, S.D.=1.92)  2.3) students had creativity to create the assignments according to STEAM Education at a good level and above were 79.59%  (gif.latex?\bar{x}=9.59 , S.D.=1.06)
