COPING STRATEGIESAND TEACHING METHODS FOR MUSIC PERFORMANCE ANXIETY IN RECORDING STUDIO

The qualitative research aims to study the causes, symptoms and teaching methods of coping with music performance anxiety in recording studio by using semi-structured interview. The phenomenological approach was used as the research methodology. The data was collected from artist, studio musician, music producer, sound engineer who are well know audio recording in music studio and experienced teachers. The researcher has analyzed and presented the data using explanation technique.
The research results are categorized into 2 perspectives: performance anxiety in recording studio and music education. The four performance anxiety in recording studio perspectives are: 1) causes of performance anxiety in recording studio; 2) symptoms of performance anxiety in recording studio; 3) coping strategies of performance anxiety in recording studio; 4) problem of performance anxiety in recording studio. Four music education perspectives are; 1) teaching methods of coping performance anxiety in recording studio; 2) problem in music instructions; 3) methods of solving the problem; 4) results of solving the problem
The research concludes that best way to coping for performance anxiety in recording studio is to learn from your experience, to understand causes and symptoms, to always practice and develop yourself, and then to find appropriate ways to cope with it.
