Human Resource Management Practice and Firm Survival of Electronic Parts Businesses in Thailand

บทคัดย่อ

In this study, human resource management practices are regarded as a key instrument employed by firms to promote organizational efficiency, effectiveness, excellence, and in the long-term survival. This study investigates the influence of human resource management practice on firm survival. The research employs a sample of 269 electronic parts businesses in Thailand. Data were collected through a mail survey using questionnaires to human resource directors or human resource managers. The regression analysis was conducted to examine all hypotheses. The findings reveal that human resource management practice has a positive impact on organizational excellence effectiveness (Adjusted R2 = 0.154), organizational productivity enhancement (Adjusted R2 = 0.161), and firm survival (Adjusted R2 = 0.130). Moreover, organizational excellence effectiveness and organizational productivity enhancement has a positive impact on firm survival (Adjusted R2 = 0.317). Thus, executives of firms need to implement of human resource management practice to survive and sustain in the competitive market environments. Future research should explore the potential antecedents that contribute to implement human resource management practices with the aim of developing a more comprehensive relational model to enhance competitive advantage and improve business performance.
