Abstract

This article is a quantitative research study of factors affecting entrepreneurial intention with two objectives: 1) to analyze the factors of entrepreneurship of BOSI DNA and 2) to test a structural model of entrepreneurial intention. The population are all undergraduate students of the faculty of business administration, with a sample group of 207 students using the proportionate stratified random sampling the available three years of students. The instruments used to collect data are the questionnaires developed from a review of international and local literature on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial intention. The statistics that are used to analyze the data include descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling.

The results reveal that the structural model of entrepreneurial intention is fit with the empirical data. It is found that the five personality traits of BOSI DNA model, that is, 1) Builder DNA (BD), 2) Opportunist DNA (OD), 3) Specialist DNA (SD), 4) Innovator DNA (ID) and 5) Mixed DNA (MD) positively affect entrepreneurial intention (EI) which is in line with the five hypotheses, especially the fifth hypothesis which has the most effect on entrepreneurial intention, showing that the Mixed DNA – MD is significant in the opinions on entrepreneurship.
