แนวทางการประยุกต์ใช้ในการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้โดยทั่วไป

คำถามแบบโสเครติสแม้ว่าจะเกิดขึ้นมานานกว่าสองพันห้าร้อยปี แต่ก็ยังทันสมัย โดยเป็นกระบวนการตั้งคำถามอย่างมีแบบแผน เพื่อสำรวจความคิด วิเคราะห์แนวคิด และตรวจสอบสมมติฐานอย่างมีเหตุผลร่วมกันระหว่างผู้เรียนและผู้สอน ซึ่งมีวิธีการตั้งคำถาม 7 วิธี ได้แก่ 1) คำถามที่มุ่งทำความเข้าใจคำถามเดิม 2) คำถามที่มุ่งขอคำชี้แจง 3) คำถามที่มุ่งหาเหตุผลและหลักฐานประกอบ 4) คำถามที่มุ่งสำรวจมุมมอง 5) คำถามที่มุ่งถึงนัยยะและผลที่ตามมา 6) คำถามที่มุ่งพิจารณาสมมติฐาน และ 7) คำถามที่มุ่งหาเป้าหมายและวัตถุประสงค์ ด้วยลักษณะของคำถามที่กระตุ้นการคิดอย่างมีระบบ วิธีการนี้จึงเหมาะสมในการส่งเสริมกระบวนการเรียนรู้เชิงวิพากษ์และการสื่อสารอย่างมีเหตุผลในห้องเรียนปัจจุบัน ผู้สอนสามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ทั้งในขั้นนำ ขั้นสอน และขั้นสรุป
