The Creation of Body of Folk Wisdom Based on Taibaan Research

Abstract

          Taibaan research is a study which is based on local wisdom. The objectives are to collect body of knowledge of local community and the community is its own knowledge. In addition, it is to maintain the strength of local community. This is different from another research due to it is for creating acceptance of others about knowledge, rights, and potentiality of the community. The research is divided into six steps in the following: 1) consultation for opinion on collaborative research; 2) preparation for what topic will study? How do we collect data? 3) data collection by various methodology; 4) the progress report on all steps or collection of more details; 5) summary and analysis of the results; 6) dissemination of results as social media.

           Taibaan research is an important factor to strengthen the body of knowledge of local community and propose it as government policy. Furthermore, it is a process of public participation in conducting research together among government agencies such as local government and institution, especially institution is able to apply Taibaan research for using in various contexts to solve the conflict of different groups.
