Peer Review Process

The process of considering articles for publication in the Journal of SaengKhomKham Buddhist Studies (JSBS) consists of 8 steps as follows: 

       1. The author submits the article into the online journal system (ThaiJO), ‘Journal of SaengKhomKham Buddhist Studies’ following the link https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jsbs/about/submissions. If the author does not yet have an account in the ThaiJO system, they have to register in the ThaiJO system first, then log in to submit the draft article and the ‘Application Form’ for publication. The author is able to fill ‘Online Application Form’ via Google Form.

       2. The editorial board will check the format and content of the article initially. The details of preliminary consideration are as follows: 1) the content related to journal scopes and objectives, 2) checking for plagiarism of others' work through the ‘CopyCatch Program’ on the ThaiJO website at a level not exceeding 20%, 3) checking the format such as article composition, page layout, reference writing format, etc. If it is incorrect, the editorial board will send it to the author for correcting within 7-15 days. 

       3. After the author has edited the article according to the editorial board recommendations, it will be checked the accuracy again within 7-15 days. If it has passed, the editorial board will be notifying the author to pay the article publication fee via email which was specified in the ‘Corresponding Author.’  

       4. When the author has paid the article publication fee. The editorial board will send the article to experts to consider and scrutinize the article (Peer Review). The peer reviewers are outside the affiliation of the author (s) who come from various institutions and have expertise in the studied field of that article. Three expertise peer reviewers will be considering per each article in a double-blinded process within 20-30 days. These expertise peer reviewers do not know the name of the author and the author does not know the peer reviewers’ name. The results of the consideration are as follows: 1) it should be published without editing, 2) it should be revised before publication (assigned to the editorial board for further consideration), 3) it should be revised before publication (send it back for reconsideration), and 4) it is not worthy of publication.

       5. The results of peer review will have sent to the author for correction according to suggestions within 15-30 days.

       6. After the author has edited the article as recommended by the peer reviewers, if peer reviewers need to recheck, the editorial board will send it to the peer reviewers in 2nd round. If the peer reviewers do not request to recheck in the 2nd round, the editorial board will check the accuracy again. If it is found that the article is not followed to the peer reviewers’ recommendations. The article will be sending to the author to edit again or until it passes the editorial board consideration within 10-15 days. 

       7. If the author has edited the article until it passed the editorial board consideration. It will be approved for publication by ‘Accepted Submission’ in the ThaiJO system and the journal board will issue a certificate of publication of that article. After that the article will have sent to the ‘Copyediting Process.’

       8. The editorial board will be publishing the article in the online journal system (ThaiJO), Journal of SaengKhomKham Buddhist Studies (JSBS), if the article has passed all the processes specified by the journal. It will be published according to the process for each issue through the website https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jsbs/index and publicized via social media of this journal such as Facebook Page: วารสารบัณฑิตแสงโคมคำ JSBS and LINE Official Account: วารสารบัณฑิตแสงโคมคำ
