This study aims to design and develop a smart farm system tailored to the agricultural community context in Khwao Sinarin District, Surin Province, to advance agricultural practices towards a digital agriculture community. The system integrates Internet of Things (IoT) technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and database management for efficient farm operation. Employing a mixed methods research design, combining qualitative and quantitative data collection, the study assesses the potential and needs of local farmers while developing and testing a smart farm prototype.
The results reveal that the developed system accurately collects environmental data and automates irrigation and fertilization processes, thereby reducing production costs, increasing yield, and achieving high farmer satisfaction, with a mean satisfaction score of 4.21 and a standard deviation of 0.13. Moreover, the system fosters collaborative networks within the community, enabling systematic farm management and supporting sustainable progress toward digital agriculture. This aligns with national strategies for modern agricultural development and effectively improves the quality of life and income for rural farmers.
