Abstract

           This study aims to 1) examine and analyze the business environment of spas in Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province, 2) propose strategies for spa business development in Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province. This study is qualitative research, with primary data provided by 3 spa entrepreneurs and 3 customers in Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province, using in-depth interviews and content analysis. From the study, it was found that some spas lack efficient personnel, communication skills, foreign language skills, modern product and service identities, and technological advancement.

Additionally, some spas are still relatively unknown. Therefore, the following strategies for spa business development are proposed: 1) Aggressive Strategy: Focusing on marketing development, product and service identity enhancement. 2) Survival Strategy: Focusing on customer retention. 3) Defensive Strategy: Focusing on technology and innovation development. And 4) Improvement Strategy: Focusing on personnel development.
