Survey status Social Entrepreneur A Case Study of “ROIKAENSARA”

Abstract

           This article the status of social entrepreneurship in three provinces: Roi Et, Khon Kaen and Maha Sarakham, where they were evaluated on the good level of products. The mixed method was used in this research. The questionnaires were analyzed using mean and standard deviation, while the interviews were analyzed using content analysis. The anticipated benefits of the research include obtaining information on the status and entrepreneurs of community-based social entrepreneurship in the provinces of Roi Et, Khon Kaen, and Mahasarakham.

            The results show that there are 182 social entrepreneurs in Maha Sarakham, covering 11 food products, 71 clothes, 4 herbal products (non-food) and 91 souvenirs/ gifts and decorations. In Roi Et, there are 139 social entrepreneurs relate to 7 of food products, 2 of beverages, 56 of clothes, 7 herbal products (non-food) and 70 souvenirs/ gifts and decorations. Meanwhile Khon Kaen, there are 13 food producers, 82 clothing producers, 18 herbal products (non-food) producers and 51 souvenirs/ gifts and decorations producers, or total 164 social entrepreneurs.

           The overview of basic resources is good from the entrepreneurs point of views. This means that physical resources, environmental conservation, regeneration process in communities can be sustainable. People in the communities can use similar materials and use a variety of technologies or tools for their production. However, infrastructure management is a factor for efficient production.
