International Thai Tourism Journal was begun during the administration of Institute of Research for Thai Tourism Development, Thailand Research Fund office, between 2005 and 2010. Subsequently, Graduate School of Tourism Management (GSTM), National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), took over production of, and successive publication of, the journal since 2011 until today. The journal's major mission is to publish and circulate research papers and scholarly papers, focusing intensively on ethical principles.

Aims and Scope

The Journal strives for encouraging the sharing of research articles and scholarly articles both in Thai and English concerning the tourism field and the service industry fields.

 

The Journal runs article reception during the entire year and is released twice a year:Issue 1: January – June, andIssue 2: July – December.

 

Manuscript Review Process

Editorial board performs a preliminary screening to ascertain whether the manuscript is aligned with the scope and aim of the journal, is not a duplication, and meets the formatting of the journal. Subsequently, three qualified peer reviewers, experts in their field, working in different institutions, but not related to author’s institution, assess the manuscript under a double-blind peer review process, whereby the reviewers are unknown to the author, and vice versa, are unknown to reviewers.

 

 

Article Publication Charge

For articles published on and after September 1, 2025,

by fixing the publication fee at 4,500 Baht per article, and author should pay for and inform the journal about it Within 10 days of receipt of notification by the editorial office of successful passage of the article through the first screening process, which is before peer review process,
