CREATION OF SILK SCREEN PRINTING FOR THE AESTHETIC LINES AND COLORS OF PHRA MAHA CHEDI GROUP

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) To study the background information, architecture structure, color and pattern to analyze the forms and techniques of contemporary art creation of Phra Maha Chedi Group enshrined in Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaramand. 2) To create silk screen printing for the aesthetic lines and colors of Phra Maha Chedi Group.
The researcher studied traditional and contemporary art as well as silk screen printing techniques. Creativity is divided into 3 phases as follows: The first stage is to create a mold by drawing the pattern of Phra Maha Chedi Group with a black pen and pencil on single-color film wax paper, the second phase is to create a mold with Adobe Illustrator Draw based on the colors shown in the drawing and, the third phase is to adjust the screen separator file in Adobe Photoshop before printing it on stencil paper with the 4-color screen separator (CMYK).
The researcher creatively studied techniques, methods, concepts and expressions which found that reproducing and reducing visual elements could create a moving relationship between space and architecture freely as imagined. It could provoke a new experience in the audience for the aesthetics of Phra Maha Chedi Group. It could inherit elegance from traditional art to contemporary art as well as instill a sense of appreciation for the beauty that flourishes within the audience's mind.
