Guidelines for the Development of Ban Wang Som Sa Community Enterprises, Tha Pho Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phitsanulok Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the operational conditions of the community enterprise; 2) investigate the problems and obstacles in the operation of the community enterprise; and 3) examine guidelines for the development of the Wang Som Sa Community Enterprise. This study employed a quantitative research approach using a survey research design. The sample consisted of 259 members of the Wang Som Sa Community Enterprise Group. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The findings revealed that: 
1) the overall operational conditions of the Wang Som Sa Community Enterprise were at a high level
2) the major problems and obstacles included a lack of knowledge and understanding in business operations, insufficient application of knowledge in operational practices, inadequate accounting skills resulting in lost business opportunities, and a lack of 
knowledge in strategic marketing planning
3) the development guidelines for the Wang Som Sa Community Enterprise included enhancing knowledge and skills in technology and innovation, developing business management capabilities, supporting essential business resources to improve business methods and techniques, promoting the use of local biological resources in production processes, and strengthening knowledge in business planning and management in order to improve the competitiveness and sustainable growth of the community enterprise.
