Analysis of Aesthetics Appearing In Korat Folk Songs

Abstract

This research aims to 1) study the concept of aesthetics, 2) study the aesthetics that appear in Korat folk songs, and 3) analyze the aesthetics that appear in Korat folk songs. This is a documentary study by studying data from various academic documents and research works related to Korat songs and presenting the research results through descriptive analysis.
The results of the study found that: 
1. Aesthetics is a branch of philosophy. It is a branch of ethnology. It is a search for the value of all things, including humans, regarding beauty and beautiful things in both art and nature. It studies the experience of beauty and standards for judging what is beautiful and what is not beautiful. 
2. Korat folk songs have developed from Buddhist philosophy, social environment, and local values. The evolution in terms of form has many components, including poetry, Korat song forms, song types, song characteristics, and Korat song content.
3. The aesthetics that appear in Korat folk songs of the subjectivist group emphasizes the importance of the feelings of the individual. Therefore, the measure of judging the value of beauty is not fixed. Because it depends on feelings or tastes that change according to the preferences of each person at each time and place. In the view of the objectiveist group, it is believed that beauty is a property of objects, a fixed 
property that indicates the philosophy of beauty that is in Korat folk songs. In the view of the relativist group, it is according to the preferences and creativity of the composer, singer, and listener. As for the relativist theory, it is a connection between the two theories between the mind and the Korat folk songs until it becomes a Korat folk song with unique lyrics.
