The Study of the Current State, Desirable State and Needs of Administration of Student Care System using Digital Technology in Schools under Sakon Nakhon Secondary Educational Service Area Office

Abstract

 The purpose of this research was to study the current state, desirable state and needs of administration of student care system using digital technology in schools under the Sakon Nakhon Secondary Educational Service Area Office. This study was mixed-methods research. The sample consisted of 225 school administrators, deputy directors, teachers responsible for the student care system, advisors and guidance teachers in schools under the Sakon Nakhon Secondary Educational Service Area Office. The sample was selected based on purposive sampling. The research instruments included five-rating scale questionnaire and the semi – structured interview. Data were analyzed using the statistics to determine mean, standard deviation and Modified Priority Needs Index (PNI_modified).
The results indicated that overall current state of administration of student care system using digital technology in schools under the Sakon Nakhon Secondary
Educational Service Area Office was at a moderate level. When individual aspects were considered, an aspect with the highest mean was student referral. The overall desirable state of administration of student care system using digital technology in schools under the Sakon Nakhon Secondary Educational Service Area Office was at a high level. An aspect with the highest mean was student development and promotion. The overall Modified Priority Needs Index (PNI_modified) was 0.340. When individual aspects were considered, an aspect with the highest mean was prevention and problem solving, followed by student screening, knowing individualized students and student referral, respectively.
