Participation of Local Leaders in Helping Victims the 2019 Coronavirus Epidemic in Mueang Nong Khai District, Nong Khai Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the participation of local leaders in helping victims of the Coronavirus 2019 epidemic in Muang Nong Khai District, Nong Khai Province; 2) to compare the participation of local leaders in helping victims of the Coronavirus 2019 epidemic; 3) to study problems and suggestions on the participation of local leaders in helping victims of the Coronavirus Pandemic 2019 this research It is a mixed research method (Mixed Method) according to the Four Sangahavatthu Dhamma. The sample group consisted of 399 people and 13 key informants. The tools used were a questionnaire and an interview form. Data were analyzed using social science software packages and contextual content analysis.
The research results were as follows:
1) The overall level of participation of local leaders in helping victims of the Coronavirus 2019 epidemic in Mueang Nong Khai District, Nong Khai Province was
statistically rated at a moderate level ( =3.15). From aspect consideration, all studied aspects were at the moderate level. The highest mean was seen in the aspect of
contacting relevant agencies for assistance ( =3.30), followed by participation in helping ( =3.23), follow up on epidemic news ( =3.09), awareness to educate about the
Coronavirus 2019 ( =3.06) and the behavior of helping according to the Four Sangahavatthu Dhamma ( =3.06)
2) The comparative result of the participation of local leaders in helping victims of the Coronavirus 2019 epidemic in Muang Nong Khai District, Nong Khai Province
indicated that the opinion of people with differences in sex, age, level of education and the average monthly income were indifferent overall.
3) The suggestions were that government agencies in Muang Nong Khai District, Nong Khai Province should apply the Four Sangahavatthu Dhamma in formulating policies regarding measures to help victims of the Coronavirus 2019 in order to make the policy effective and successful. Local leaders should be encouraged to correctly know the news, policies and methods for complying with the epidemic control measures of the Coronavirus 2019 through public relations signs and various social media.
