Abstract

 The objectives of this research were : 1 ) to study the beliefs of Isan people in community forest conservation; 2 ) to study community forest conservation of Suan Jik sub-district Sri Somdet District Roi Et Province 3) to analyze the belief in conserving the community forest of Suan Jik Sub-district Si Somdet District Roi Et Province, It is a qualitative research. Study information from the Tripitaka, documents and related research. There were 25 key informants / person who analyzed the data in a descriptive method based on the inductive method.
The research results were as follows:
1. Isan people have 3 basic beliefs: mystical powers, way of life, and ways of dealing with various beliefs. The belief in community forest conservation stems from the belief that the forest is a food source, a learning center. and sacred places of thecommunity
2. Community forest in Suan Jik Sub-district is Ban Kok Rang Forest and Ban Don Du Forest, as a food source A learning center of the community about herbs, beliefs, cultural ways and a sacred place. which is consistent with the beliefs of the people of Isan in general and adhere to this belief as a way to conserve community forests
3. Application of philosophical theories such as metaphysics, epistemology, Buddhist ethics. Let's analyze together with the belief that Community forests are a source of food. learning resources and is a holy place Then apply the knowledge gained from this analysis to be used as a way to conserve forests to stay with the community in a sustainable way.
