ABSTRACT
The study Research of Health promoting behavior of the elderly in Nong No Subdistrict, Kranuan District, KhonKaen Province The objectives of this research were 1) To study of Health promotion behavior of the elderly in Nong No Subdistrict, Kranuan District, KhonKaen Province 2) 2) To compare Health promoting behavior of elderly in Nong No Subdistrict, Kranuan District, KhonKaen Province Classified by gender, age, status, education level, occupation and source of income 3) To study the suggestions Health promoting behavior of elderly in Nong No Subdistrict, Kranuan District, KhonKaen Province The study is classified by personal factors of the elderly such as gender, age, status, education level, occupation and source of income.
The research population consisted of 799 elderly in Nong No Subdistrict, Kranuan District, KhonKaen Province. That specifies samples from Yamane. by specifying were the elderly people who are over 60 years old and live in Nong No Subdistrict, Kranuan District, KhonKaen Province. 7 Village include Nong No Village Phatiw Village Kud Ngong Village Na Lao Village Kokklang Village Sriprachamai Village and Prachachuen Village. By specifying the number of the elderly of the sample .Represent the population and then represent the value.
According to the formula to get the desired sample size Sampling uses simple sampling methods. The tools used for data collection were interview forms of the elderly. The statistics used for data analysis were descriptive statistics consisting of The frequency distribution, percentage, mean and standard deviation. And inferential statistics Consisting of testing the difference between the mean values of 2 groups of samples (t- test) and the One Way ANOVA test. Tested in pairs in case of statistically significant differences by the Fisher’s Least Significant Difference (LSD) method. Test the hypothesis in pairs. To see which pairs are different.
The elderly who responded to the interview was a sample of 267 people in this study. Most of them are female, 58.8% are in the age range 70-79 years, 41.9% have marital status 59.2%, most education is at the elementary level, 74.5%, in occupation, most do not work. 30.7 As for the sources of income, most of them had their own income 52.1%
The level of compare Health promoting behavior of elderly in Nong No Subdistrict, Kranuan District, KhonKaen Province. Found Overview have High level, average 3.58
Considering each aspect found Eating behavior found that Eating behavior at a high level. Alcoholic drinking and Smoking habits found that Alcoholic drinking and Smoking habits at a lowest level. Exercise behavior found that exercise behavior at a high level. Mental health behaviors found that mental health behaviors at a highest level. And Health care behaviors of people have congenital disease found that health care behaviors of people have congenital disease at a highest level.
Hypothesis test results found The elderly with the age, status, education level occupation and source of income. Have different health promoting behaviors. at the statistically significant level of .05. And the elderly who have sex and source of income Have health promoting behaviors of the elderly not different at the statistically significant level of .05
