The Development of a Model for Buddhist Learning Activities in Social Studies Subject Religion and Culture

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the state of Buddhist learning, group learning, social studies, religion and culture, 2) to create a model for learning activities in Buddhism, 3) to assess the organization of learning styles activity Buddhist learning. The qualitative research model of the population used in the research consists of administrators and teachers. The tool used was interview form, and specific group conversation The data was analyzed using descriptive content analysis.


 


            The research results found that.


  1. The conditions of the Buddhist learning process in social studies Religion and culture have 2 parts which are 1) Organizing learning activities according to the curriculum which are divided into 4 steps as follows: 1. Introduction, 2. Teaching, 3. Conclusion, and 4. Evaluation. 2) Curriculum enrichment activities.

  2. The creation of a model of Buddhist learning activities in social studies, religion and culture, divided into 3 steps consisting of Step 1: cultivating the right attitudes Is that the teacher asks students to practice thinking correctly, including 1.1) Investigative thinking, finding the cause, factors. 1.2) Comprehension of the thinking component. 1.3) Commonlike thinking. 1.4) The Noble Truth Thinking. 1.5) Thinking of the Dhamma Relationsion. 1.6 A) Thinking in a way that sees you agree penalty. 1.7) Thinking about real value, artificial value. 1.8) Thinking about ways to stimulate morals. 1.9) Thinking with consciousness at the present time. 1.10) Thinking Wipat Chawat. The step 2, self-training according to the principles of Trisikkhana is 2.1. Both the physical and social environment. 2.2) Atichittikasikha is the development of mental state. Train the mind to be strong and ready for intellectual use. 2.3) The wisdom of Sikkha is to know and understand the problem as in reality. Correct the problem correctly. Step 3. Self-development according to the 4 principles of prayer is 3.1) The body of prayer is the development of relations with the physical environment 3.2) The prayer of the development of behavior 3.3) Mindfulness means creating good mental health. 3.4) Wisdom of prayer is the vision of cause and effect. Can solve various problems.

  3. The evaluation results of the experts are of the opinion that In general, the Buddhist learning activities model Group learning social studies, religion and culture. The suitability and usefulness are at the highest level. An average of 4.98 and 5.00 and parents / parents and the community is satisfied with the behavior of the students at the highest level with an average value equal to 4.58.
