ETHICS IN NURSING PRACTICE

Abstract
Ethics is an important basis of the nursing profession. Ethics will allow nurses to express themselves while practicing nursing with generosity andproviding care for patients to meet not only physically but also meet psychological needs. At present, nurses have to face more problems with complaints and lawsuits from clients especially the ethical issues of nursing.Because of the change in social and health circle, it is resulting in changes in attitudes and valuesof people in society. Therefore, there is a need for nurses to have morality and ethics. Which the ethics of the nurse are many dimensions include; professional ethics, ethics in professions related health,and ethics in the view of Buddhism. But regardless of any dimension will find similarities, focusing on nursing care for patients with compassion, provide care as if being a relative, paying attention to provide carewith the benefit of the patient. In addition, nurses must also be conscious andprovide care for patients by careful not to make error as well. The encouragement for nurses to be appropriate ethics need to work together both educational institutions and hospitals in order to achieve the quality and efficiency of nursing care according to the standard and professional ethics.
