History Project-Based Learning Management to Promote the Analytical Thinking Skills of Secondary School Students

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to improve lesson plans of history project-based learning management to promote the students’ analytical thinking skills 2) to study the students’ analytical thinking skills by using history project-based learning management to promote analytical thinking skills 3) to study the students’ learning achievement after using history project-based learning management to promote analytical thinking skills. The sample consisted of 24 students who studied in Mattayom 4/1 in Maethawittayakom School, purposively selected during the first semester of the 2018 academic year. The instruments used for the students’ analytical thinking skills and took 18 learning periods to complete. Data collection tools comprised of an analytical thinking skill test and a learning achievement test. The study was based on the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design and the statistics used for the analysis were mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The results revealed that:


  1. Development of a management plan, project history, to promote students ' critical thinking skills. Number 5 by all plans are consistent with the content. The purpose of the research as well as activities by average consistency index (IOC) experts is equal to 0.9.

  2. The students’ average posttest score on analytical thinking skills was significantly higher than their pretest one at the 0.01 level of significance; and

  3. The students’ average posttest score on learning achievement was significantly higher than their pretest one at the 0.01 level of significance.
