The Perspectives on Practical Nurse production and the characteristics of Practical Nurse, Faculty of Nursing, UbonRatchathani University

Abstract

This descriptive research aimed to study the perspectives on practical nurse production and the characteristics of practical nurse from Faculty of Nursing, Ubon Ratchathani University. The samples were 444 persons who associated with training or using the practical nurse of the 10^th health area. The rating questionnaires with scale from one to five was used as a tool to measure the practical nurse characteristics among 7 dimensions which include the following: Qualifications Framework for Higher Education 6 dimensions and Graduate corresponding characteristics with the university identity. Data collection during June to September, 2558. The quantitative data were analyzed with average and standard deviation, the qualitative data were analyzed with content analysis.

               The results of this study revealed that: the persons agreed with training of practical nurse about 98.6 %. The practical nurse characteristics were high level of satisfaction. The three top highest were Ethics and Moral, Caring Performance Skills and Interpersonal Skills and Responsibility.
