The Study of the Principle of Duo Dance’s Choreography Invented by Associate Professor Phusadee Limschoon

Abstract

The research titled “The Study of the Principle of Duo Dance’s Choreography invented by Associate Professor Phusadee Limschoon” aimed to study and analyze the principle of Thai Dance choreography invented by Associate Professor Phusadee Limschoon as well as to publicize the knowledge of Thai Dance choreography invented by Assoc. Prof. Phusadee Limschoon. This study was conducted as the qualitative research whose research tools were including document studying, the interviews, the observation and the researcher’s own experience. The researcher gathered all information and analyzed for acquiring the principle of Duo Dance’s choreography invented by Assoc. Prof. Phusadee Limschoon. The study found that the principle of Duo Dance’s choreography invented by Assoc. Prof. Phusadee Limschoon focused on 2 main principles of Duo Dance’s choreography which were the traditional inheritance of Thai Dance together with Thai dance’s choreography. The principle had its basic concept from the drama created from the literature that had 2 players in the play. Assoc. Prof. Phusadee applied her skillful experience in various aspects to establish and design all the elements with fully elegant, combining with the specific identity of dancing according to Lakorn Nai, the Duo Dance’s choreography invented by her was remarkable, distinctive and was worthy to preserve, inherit and develop according to the academic knowledge of Thai Dance performance. With those reasons, the researcher then educated the knowledge received from this study to the student majoring in Dance and Drama, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Dhonburi Rajabhat University for instructing and providing supports to the next generation to create Thai dance works which stood on the academic knowledge basic of Thai dance performance.
