Factors That Effect on Working of Thai Older Person

The purpose of this research was to study factors that affected the functioning of Thai elderly people. This research used a quantitative research method. The researcher used a data set from the Survey of the Elderly Population in Thailand in 2021 of the National Statistical Office, as a research tool the research. The sample of the study was 43,547 people aged 60 years and over. The analysis was the Probit Regression Model. The results of the study found that home ownership Marital status physical health, age, activity participation, income, debt, and satisfaction with financial situation affected the work of Thai elderly people with statistical significance at the .05 level, while the educational level (below primary/primary school level and other education) and savings (savings 100,000 - 199,999 baht and savings 1,000,000 baht or more) did not affect the work of Thai elderly people at .05 level of significance.
