Community Dispute Reconciliation Model Emphasis on Community Participation with People's Conciliation Center Pak Khlong Bang Pla Kot Subdistrict Samut Prakan Province

Abstract

This article is part of a research study that had the objective of studying the form of mediation to settle community disputes through community participation with People’s Conciliation Center in SamutPrakan Province. Research showed that 1) the formation of community dispute resolution mediation of the Public Dispute Conciliation Center is formulated and the conciliation process is clear. 2) There is a process of discussing the arguments from both parties. The conciliation process effectively halts disputes in the community by giving local leadership (formal or informal leaders) such as Kamnan, village headman, and volunteers, come in the process used the Community potential through the Conciliation center's committee where people participate in the committee was elected from the community to serve as an intermediary in resolving various disputes and 3) The effect of community involvement in carrying out dispute mediation through community representatives to participate in the settlement of disputes who enter with reasonable spirit, public mind, and volunteer mind. The suggestions for implementing dispute conciliation in this study are as follows: 1) Training all the leaders (formal or informal leaders) and people in the community to participate in dispute conciliation, or the state sending an expert to provide the knowledge. 2) There should be a study visit to mediation agencies such as the Mediation Center of the court, the Lawyers Council, or government or private sector organizations that are successful in gaining new techniques and knowledge. 3) People in all sectors of the community should participate in mediation to resolve disputes, such as children and juveniles in the community. and 4) The government should promote the establishment of rules and regulations for the village constitution by issuing regulations to support it.
