Quality of Working life of Industrial Workers in Samut Prakan Province Affected by Coronavirus Disease 2019 Situation

Abstract

The study aimed to investigate, compare, and analyze the factors that influence the quality of working life of industrial workers affected by the coronavirus 2019. By examining concepts, theories, and factors that affect the quality of working life as information to create questionnaires and questions for group discussions with a reliability of 0.96 that apply to workers in specific, severely affected industrial groups. Using statistics were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, one-sided variance, and multiple regression analysis. It was found that the working lives of industrial workers are moderately affected. Below is the order of impact, from greatest to least. 1) Adequate and fair pay, 2) Social integration in the work organization, 3) The social relevance of working life, 4) Work and the overall living environment, 5) Future opportunities for continuous growth and security, 6) Immediate opportunities to use and develop human skills, 7) Constitution in the work organization, and 8) Safe and healthy working conditions. When comparing the quality of working life of employees by affected industry groups, it was found that employees in different industry groups were significantly affected at the 0.01 level. The factors used to predict the quality of work life were personal organizational behavior factors, group work factors, and legal factors and the efficiency of prediction was 41.30 percent.
