The Development of Piano Playing Ability and Retention in Learning Using the Song Memorization Method of Frances Clark in International Music Subject for Prathomsuksa 2 Students.

Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to compare ability in playing piano of students after learning through Frances Clark music memorization method with the criteria 70 percentages, 2) to study learning retention after learning through Frances Clark music memorization method, and 3) to study satisfaction of students towards the Frances Clark music memorization method. The sample group consists of 28 students from Class 2/1 in second semester, academic year 2020 in Phraharuthai Donmuang School, selected by cluster random sampling. The research tools for this study were: 1) the learning management plan related with Frances Clark music memorization method, 2) Piano skills assessment form, 3) learning retention measurement test, and 4) students’ satisfaction on Frances Clark music memorization method questionnaire. The data collected were analyzes by percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test. Findings of this research were as follows: 1) The students’ ability in playing piano after learning through Frances Clark music memorization method was statistically higher than the criteria 70 percentages at .05 level of significance. 2) The students had learning retention after learning through Frances Clark music memorization method. 3) The satisfaction of students toward Frances Clark music memorization method was at a high level.
