Abstract

This research aimed to study the current state and development needs and to prioritize the Competency Development in AI-based Learning Assessment of Private School Teachers in Samut Prakan Province. A survey design was employed. The sample comprised 264 teachers who participated voluntarily. The research instrument was an online, five‑point rating scale questionnaire in a dual‑response format. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the modified Priority Needs Index. The research results were as follows;

1) Overall, the current level of AI competence in learning assessment among teachers was moderate, whereas the level of development needs was high. 2) The overall development need yielded the modified Priority Needs Index of 0.151. By domain, the priority order was assessment management (0.224), analysis and prediction (0.216), assessment tool design and construction (0.158), and ethics in assessment (0.072). These results suggest prioritizing capacity building in assessment management and predictive analytics with AI, alongside ethical governance, to enhance the quality of students’ learning assessment.
