Abstract
The objectives of this research were: (1) To study the personnel administration performed by the school administrators in Srinarong Educational Network 2; and (2) To compare the personnel administration performed by the school administrators in Srinarong Educational Network 2 as classified by work position, gender and educational level.
This research methodolody was a survey research. The population were school administrators, teachers and educational personnel of the schools in Srinarong Educational Network 2, totaling 304 persons. By using Krejcie and Morgan’s sample size determination table and stratified random sampling, the researcher selected sample, totaling 191 persons. The research procedure consisted of 4 stages which were: (1) Examining documents, concepts, theories and studies related; (2) Constructing research instrument; (3) Collecting data; and (4) Analyzing collected data. The instrument used for collecting the data was a 5-level scale questionnaire. The statistics used for analyzing the collected data were frequency, percentage, mean, Standard Deviation, t-test and One -Way ANOVA.
The major research findings were that: (1) The personnel administration was overall performed by the school administrators in Srinarong Educational Network 2 at high level. After item analysis, it was found that each aspect of personnel administration was performed at high level. The mean scores listed in order from the highest to the lowest included staffing, evaluating personnel’s work performance, maintaining personnel, planning work force and personnel development; and (2) The comparison results revealed that, as classified by gender and educational level, the opinions towards the personnel administration was overall performed by the school administrators in Srinarong Educational Network 2 overall and individual aspect was not difterent.
