The Participation in Educational Administration Performed by Personnel in Thatoom Partnership Network 3 under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: (1) To examine the participation in educational administration performed by the personnel in Thatoom Partnership Network 3 under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2; and (2) To examine guidelines for developing the participation in educational administration performed by the personnel in Thatoom Partnership Network 3 under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2.

            This research methodology was a survey research. The population were the personnel in Thatoom Partnership Network 3 under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, totaling 225 persons. By using Krejcie and Morgan’s sample size determination table and simple random sampling, the researcher selected the sample, totaling 142 persons. The research procedure consisted of 4 stages which were: (1) Examining documents, concepts, theories and studies related; (2) Constructing research instrument; (3) Collecting data; and (4) Analyzing collected data. The instrument used for collecting the data was a 5-level scale questionnaire and open-ended questions. The statistics used for analyzing the collected data were frequency, percentage, mean and Standard Deviation.

            The major research findings revealed that: (1) The participation in educational administration performed by the personnel in Thatoom Partnership Network 3 under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 was at high level in whole and in part. The mean scores listed in order from the highest to the lowest were organizational management, controlling, coordinating, planning and directing; and (2) The guidelines for developing the participation in educational administration performed by personnel in Thatoom Partnership Network 3 under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 included that a survey of people’s demand for illiteracy information should be conducted; the participation in Partnership Network 3 by implementing the Basic Education Core Curriculum should be made, the school personnel should be aware of their mistakes in work performance and they should be kept informed and given an opportunity to approve school reports of supervision.
