THE COMPONENT AND INDICATORS FOR RESEARCHER ATTRIBUTES IN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS AT SURANAREE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) study the elements and characteristics of the researchers of undergraduate students at Suranaree University of Technology, and 2) check the consistency of the elements and indicators of research characteristics of undergraduate students at Suranaree University of Technology with empirical data. The sample group used in this research was the 4th year undergraduate students at Suranaree University of Technology, academic year 2023, 360 people, which were selected by the stratified random sampling method (Stratified random sampling). The tool used in the research was a 5-level evaluation scale questionnaire with reliability value of 0.98. The data were analyzed using second-order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The results of the study found that 1) the elements and indicators of research characteristics of undergraduate students at Suranaree University of Technology composed of two components, (1) The characteristics that support research, consisting of responsibility, curiosity, creativity, patience, accepting the opinions of others, self-control, and honesty, and (2) Research knowledge and ability, including knowledge of management and systematic work, knowledge of research methods, knowledge of the research topic, and knowledge of the basics of data analysis methods. 2) Tools harmonized with the empirical data.
