THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE INTERNAL EDUCATIONAL QUALITY ASSURANCE PROCESS AND THE PARTICIPATION IN EDUCATIONAL QUALITY ASSURANCE AT PROGRAM LEVEL OF AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES FACULTY, RAJAMANGALA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY TAWAN-OK

Abstract

The objective of this research were to study the relationship between the internal education quality assurance process and the personnel participation in education quality assurance at program level of Agriculture and Natural Resources Faculty, Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok and to compare the personnel participation in education quality assurance at program level when classified by respondents’ line of work and work experience. The population of this research were personnel of Agriculture and Natural Resources Faculty, Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok, consisted of 61 administrators, instructors and supporting. The research instrument were a questionnaire of the internal education quality assurance process and a questionnaire of the personnel participation in education quality assurance at program level. Data were analyzed in terms of mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient.

          The findings showed that:

1. The internal education quality assurance process of Agriculture and Natural Resources Faculty, Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok in overall ( =3.87, SD=0.29) and individually were rated at a high level. The rankings from highest to lowest were: 1) Check/ Study ( =4.06, SD=0.38) 2) Do ( =4.03, SD=0.36) 3) Plan ( =3.73, SD=0.32) and 4) Act ( =3.69, SD=0.26) respectively.

2. The personnel participation in education quality assurance at program level of Agriculture and Natural Resources Faculty, Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok in overall ( =3.69, SD=0.26) and individually were rated at a high level. The rankings from highest to lowest were: 1) Learning supports ( =4.01, SD=0.64) 2) Students ( =3.81, SD=0.86) 3) standard control ( =3.76, SD=0.96) 4) instructors ( =3.73, SD=0.94) 5) Curriculum, Teaching & learning strategy and learners’ assessment ( =3.67, SD=0.97) and 6) Graduates ( =3.56, SD=0.90) respectively.

3. Comparisons of the personnel participation in education quality assurance at program level of Agriculture and Natural Resources Faculty, Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok revealed significant differences (p<.05) in overall and individually when classified by line of work and work experience.

4. The internal education quality assurance process in overall was significant (p<.05) positive correlation with the personnel participation in education quality assurance at program level (r = 0.69). In each process included Plan, Do, Check/ Study and Act were significant (p<.05) positive correlation with the personnel participation in education quality assurance at program level with the Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient r = 0.68, 0.60, 0.57 and 0.50 respectively.
