THE STUDY OF MATHEMATICS LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT AND ABILITY IN SOLVING PROBLEMS OF MATHAYOMSUKSA FIVE STUDENTS ON SEQUENCE AND SERIES BY USING SSCS MODEL AND QUESTIONING

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study mathematics learning achievement of  Mathayomsuksa five students on Sequence and Series by using SSCS model and questioning and 2) to study ability in solving problems of Mathayomsuksa five students on Sequence and Series by using SSCS Model and questioning. The sample was 80 Mathayomsuksa five students of two classrooms at Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) 2 the second semester of  the academic year 2019 that was selected by cluster random sampling from 15 classrooms. The instruments in data collection consisted of 10 lesson plans on Sequence and Series by using SSCS model and questioning, 20 items with five multiple choices of mathematics learning achievement test on Sequence and Series, and mathematical problem solving ability tests on Sequence and Series. Percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test were used for analyzing data. The research findings revealed that 1) the students had  mathematics learning achievement on Sequence and Series by using SSCS model and questioning after learning was higher than 60% at the .05 level of significance and 2) the students had mathematical problem solving ability on Sequence and Series at the good level.
