THE GUIDELINE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SANITATION’S SCHOOL PROCESS FOR SCHOOL UNDER THE OFFICE OF BUENGKAN EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA

Abstract
The purposes of this study were : 1) to study the the current condition and the desirable condition of the sanitation’s school process for school under the office of Buengkan Educational Service Area 2) to develop the guideline of the sanitation’s school process for school under the office of Buengkan Educational Service Area. The study was divided into two phases. The first phase was to study the current condition and the desirable condition of the sanitation’s school process for school under the office of Buengkan Educational Service Area. The sample consisted of 210 people, included 105 school administrators and 105 teachers who studied the guideline progress of the sanitation’s school for school which had Best Practice. Informants were 3 school administrators and 3 healthy teachers, from 3 schools. The instruments used were interview guides. In addition, the second phase was the guideline development of the sanitation’s school process for school under the office of Buengkan Educational Service Area. Informants were 5 professionals by focusing group discussion. The instruments used included group discussion guides and assessment guides. The statistics used in the data analysis were percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The results of this study were as follow:
1. The current condition of the sanitation’s school process, overall were in medium level. Considering with an item revealed that there were 3 parts in high level and 7 parts in medium level. The mean range of 3 sorts from high to low were nutrition and safety food part, fitness sports and recreation part, and conductive environment to health in school part.
The desirable condition of the sanitation’s school process, overall were in high level. Considering with an item revealed that all parts were in high level.The mean range of 3 sorts from high to low were health services in school part, hygiene in school part, and school's policy and management and conductive environment to health in school part.
2. The guideline development of the sanitation’s school process for school under the office of Buengkan Educational Service Area should invited the community to participate in the sanitation program and identified to supervise during sanitation program. Coordinated with hospitals to make their own school as health screening center, organized a bulletin board for health education to compete about health project and Integrated health skills in the school curriculum. School policy covered all the issues that the Department of Health and announced the policy in different ways. Community joined funds to support the implementation of health promotion in school. The school publicized process of work periodically. Responsible persons assessed environment every year. Analyzed problems and found solutions by developing evaluation. Formulated zoning ban on alcohol sales at a distance of 2 meters around the school. School supported teachers to attend a meeting about a mental health evaluation to counsel the psychiatrist from the Department of Mental Health. School set budget for the procurement and maintenance of sports equipment and exercise facilities. Equipment and facilities for exercise, organized to suit each type of sport. Teachers should gave many ways to physical fitness test is required. Teachers observed and followed evolution of the students who failed criterion for a solution.
