This study aimed: 1) to develop learning activities entitled Artificial Intelligence (AI) educational tools for digital learning in the digital literacy dimension for pre-service teachers in a higher education institution; 2) to compare learning achievement of pre-service teachers before and after learning through the developed learning activities; 3) to investigate the effects after the implementation of the developed learning activities, and 4) to assess satisfaction of pre-service teachers with the developed learning activities. The sample consisted of 25 pre-service teachers from Faculty of Education, Naresuan University. The research instruments consisted of: 1) expert interview forms to establish guidelines for developing learning activities; 2) learning activity plans; 3) learning media; 4) measurement forms assessing digital literacy; 5) learning activity evaluation forms, and 6) questionnaires measuring satisfaction with the developed learning activities.
The research findings revealed that: 1) The learning activities AI educational tools for digital learning in the dimension of digital literacy comprised AI prompt design skills, digital media literacy skills, digital technology (DL) skills for learning AI, essential AI tools, digital media creation and development skills, and the presentation of the activity plans to digital content experts. The overall quality was rated at a very good level ( = 4.63, S.D. =0.53). 2) The comparison results of pre-and post-learning outcomes among pre-service teachers participating in the developed learning activities showed that post-learning scores were significantly higher than pre-learning scores at the .05 level of statistical significance. 3)The overall effectiveness of the developed learning activities was rated at a very good (
= 4.73, S.D.= 0.24). and 4) The pre-service teachers’ satisfaction with the developed learning activities was rated at the highest level (
= 4.57, S.D. = 0.23).
