This research aimed to examine the influence of risk management, government accounting information systems, and personnel skills on the quality of accounting information in hospitals under the Royal Thai Army. The study employed a quantitative research approach using questionnaires as the primary data collection instrument. Data were collected from 217 finance and accounting personnel working in hospitals under the Royal Thai Army. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics, namely Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis.
The findings revealed that operational risk management, regulatory compliance risk management, and information technology risk management had significant positive effects on various dimensions of accounting information quality. Financial risk management significantly influenced the decision-usefulness dimension of accounting information quality. Regarding government accounting information systems, system stability, ease of use, and data security and accessibility were found to have significant positive effects on accounting information quality. Furthermore, personnel skills in understanding public sector accounting standards, knowledge of government accounting regulations, and accounting data management positively influenced the accuracy, completeness, transparency, and decision-usefulness dimensions of accounting information quality at the 0.05 and 0.01 levels of statistical significance. The results indicate that effective risk management, reliable government accounting information systems, and competent personnel are critical factors in enhancing the quality of accounting information in hospitals under the Royal Thai Army, thereby contributing to more efficient management and decision-making processes.
