The Effects of Story Telling Activities focusing on Summarization on Spatial Abilities of Pre-school Children at Wat Koh Kaew School in Samut Prakan Province

The objectives of this research were to 1) compare the spatial abilities of pre-school children before and after participating in story telling activities focusing on summarization, and
2) to study the progress of spatial abilities in pre-school children during the storytelling activity. The participants comprised 28 pre-school children, who studying in second semester of the academic year 2022, Watkokaew School, Samut Prakan Province. The research tools were learning plan, which validity (IOC) was between .60-1.00, and was most appropriate level ( =4.43), and the spatial ability assessment for pre-school children, which validity (IOC) was between .67 - 1.00, reliability was .98 and Data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation and t-test, dependent.
The result were as follow:
1) The pre-school children Watkohkaew School were average scores spatial abilities before (µ =14.50, s=3.82) and after (µ=21.14,s=3.21) participating in story telling activities focusing on summarize (Significant level .05)
2) The pre-school children Watkohkaew School were average scores have progressed in their spatial abilities from the storytelling activities that summarize the stories in the following order: Pretest have scores µ=14.50, s=3.82 and Posttest have scores µ=21.14,s=3.21
