The Mediating Effect of Organizational Innovation on the Relationship between Transformational Leadership and Organizational Performance of Community Enterprises in Nakhon Pathom Province

The objectives of this study were: (1) to examine the levels of transformational leadership, organizational innovation and organizational performance of community enterprises; (2) to investigate the positive influence of transformational leadership and organizational innovation on the performance of community enterprises and (3) to examine the mediating influence of organizational innovation in linking transformational leadership to the organizational performance of community enterprises in Nakhon Pathom Province. This quantitative research employed a sample of 200 members of community enterprises selected through simple random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.97. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation and inferential statistics through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) using the Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM) approach.
The findings revealed that.
1) the levels of transformational leadership, organizational innovation and organizational performance were all high, with mean scores of 4.39 (S.D. = 0.52), 4.24 (S.D. = 0.54) and 4.16 (S.D. = 0.60), respectively.
2) transformational leadership had a positive direct influence on organizational innovation and organizational performance ( = 0.58, p < .001;
= 0.66, p < .001) and (3) organizational innovation had both a positive direct and indirect influence on organizational performance (
= 0.39, p < .001; indirect effect = 0.23, p < .001).
