Problems of the Teaching and Learning Management of the Pre-Service Teachers at Thailand National Sports University, Si Sa Ket Campus during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the problem conditions of the teaching and learning management of the pre-service teachers at Thailand National Sports University, Si Sa Ket Campus during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The samples were 80 pre-service teachers randomized by stratified sampling based on proportion from 91 pre-service teachers, the population, at Thailand National Sports University, Si Sa Ket Campus in the academic year of 2021. They participated in the group interview of 8 volunteer people. The research instruments were a rating scale questionnaire and an interview form used to interview the problems of the pre-service teachers. The statistics used were mean and standard deviation.
The research findings were as follows.
The study of the problem conditions of the pre-service teachers at Thailand National Sports University, Si Sa Ket Campus during the COVID-19 Pandemic showed that the pre-service teachers had the problems of the teaching and learning management at a moderate level ( x̄ = 3.18, S = 1.13). According to the interview on the problem conditions, the pre-service teachers at Thailand National Sports University, Si Sa Ket Campus during the COVID-19 Pandemic had the opinions that 1) they had more teaching load, 2) the schools was unpreparedness on sports venues and equipment, 3) the pre-service teachers had limited access to technology, and 4) the health care of the pre-service teachers and the students needed to be taken care of.
