Development of Multimedia Enhancing Local Wisdom in Making Pottery at the Learning Center of the Pak Huai Wang Nong Pottery Group, Ubon Ratchathani Province

Abstract

The objectives of the research were 1) develop multimedia enhancing local wisdom in making pottery at the learning center of the Pak Huai Wang Nong Pottery Group, Ubon Ratchathani Province, 2) to find the efficiency of the multimedia enhancing local wisdom in making pottery at the learning center of the Pak Huai Wang Nong Pottery Group, Ubon Ratchathani Province to have the standard criterion of 80/80, and 3) to evaluate the satisfaction towards the multimedia enhancing local wisdom in making pottery at the learning center of the Pak Huai Wang Nong Pottery Group, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The samples were 3 experts selected by purposive sampling and 30 pottery makers randomized by simple sampling. The research instruments were multimedia developed, an evaluation form for evaluating the quality of the multimedia, an evaluation form for evaluating the perception of the multimedia efficiency, and an evaluation form for evaluating the satisfaction. The statistics used were multimedia efficiency, mean, and standard deviation.

The research findings were as follows.

1.  The multimedia developed had its working characteristics in one-way communication consisting of 8 main menus, and the findings of the quality multimedia consisting of 2 aspects: 1) contents and 2) technical methods and methodology showed that the multimedia was appropriate at the highest level with the mean score of 4.51.
2.  The efficiency of the multimedia enhancing local wisdom in making pottery was 86.00/88.34, which exceeded the standard criterion regulated.
3.  The findings showed that the satisfaction towards the multimedia consisting of 3 aspects: the content design was at the highest satisfaction with the mean score of 4.52, the picture animation design was at the highest satisfaction with the mean score of 4.55, and the learning promotion was at the highest satisfaction with the mean score of 4.68.
