Relationship Between the Competency of the Administrators and the Effectiveness Based on the Operation of the Child Development Center under Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to study the levels of the competency of the child development center administrators and the effectiveness based on the standards of the operation of the child development center, the relationship between the competency of the administrators of the child development center and the effectiveness based on the operation of the child development center, and the guidelines for developing the competency of the administrators and the effectiveness based on the operation of the child development center under Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization. The samples were 260 participants consisting of child development center administrators and teachers. They were randomized by stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The statistics used in the research were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation coefficient.

The research findings were as follows.

1. The findings of the data analysis showed that the opinions towards the main competency of the child development center administrators and the effectiveness of the child development center under Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization 7 in the overall were at a high level.
2. The effectiveness based on the standards of the operation of the child development center under Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization with 6 items in the overall was at a high level.
3. The findings of the analysis of the relationship between the competency of the administrators of the child development center and the effectiveness based on the standards of the operation of the child development center under Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization showed that the competency of the administrators of the child development center had the relationship with the effectiveness based on the standards of the operation of the child development center under Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization in the overall with the statistical significance and had the positive relationship. The pair of the highest relationship was the systematic thinking skills and the buildings, the places, the environment, and the security of the child development center.
4. The guidelines for developing the competency of the administrators and the effectiveness based on the standards of the operation of the child development center under Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization consisted of 1) the child development center administration, 2) the staff, the buildings, the places, the environment, and the security, 3) the academic administration and the activities according to the curriculum, 4) the participation and the support from all sections, and 5) the network promotion on the early childhood development.
