Roles of School Administrators in Promoting Learning Management Based on the Concepts of Stem Education for the Schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 4

Abstract

The objectives of the research were 1) to study roles of school administrators in promoting learning management based on the concepts of STEM Education in the schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 4 and 2) to compare the roles of the school administrators in promoting learning management based on the concepts of STEM Education in the schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 4 classified by the education areas. The samples used in the research were 268 teachers from the basic schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 4. They were randomized by stratified sampling based on the education areas. The research instrument was a five-rating scale questionnaire with the context validity of 1.00 and the reliability of .98. The statistics used to analyze data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, one-way analysis of variance, and Scheffe' s pair comparison. The statistical significance was determined at the level of .05.    

            The research findings were as follows.

1. The roles of the school administrators in promoting learning management based on the concepts of STEM Education in the schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 4 in the overall and in all aspects were performed at a high level. When the aspects were organized from the highest to the lowest mean scores, the measurement and the evaluation of the learning achievement had the highest mean score, followed by learning process management, and curricular integration.
2. According to the comparison, the roles of the school administrators in promoting learning management based on the concepts of STEM Education in the schools under Kanchanaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 4 classified by the education areas in the overall and in all aspects were different with the statistical significance at the level of .01. The school administrators in the schools in the education areas of Lao Khwan District and Bo Phloi District played more roles than the school administrators in the area of Nong Prue District.
